Been thinking about how we can interact more creatively with sound. Some folks in Chicago are doing some neat stuff - recording sounds (like commuter trains/subways) and then recreating them with household objects, processing on the computer, and so on. They have some interesting ideas for installation pieces, too. I wonder what we could do with our sounds, reworking them and finding a way to present them... it could be fun and interesting to try to recreate the sounds we get from China with things found here in Siskiyou County.
